Attendance Matters! You Belong at Johnson: Be Here On Time, All Day!💙
When your child walks through our doors each morning, our entire school brightens up! At Johnson Elementary, we aren't just a school—we are a family. Every single student brings a unique spark, voice, and smile to our halls. When a seat is empty, our whole community feels the missing piece of the puzzle.
Every Minute Matters: From First Bell to Final Dismissal
Being at school on time and staying until the very end helps your child feel connected, confident, and ready to thrive.
✨Morning Magic: Arriving on time lets students unpack comfortably, catch up with friends, and start the day together during morning meetings. Missing just fifteen minutes in the morning can leave a child feeling rushed and out of the loop before learning even begins.
✨End-of-Day Connections: The last stretch of the day is packed with essential wrap-up activities, reflection, hands-on projects, and closing routines. When kids leave early, they miss out on celebrating their daily wins alongside their classmates.
✨Strong Habits for Life: Showing up every day, all day builds confidence, friendship, and strong habits that will serve your child for years to come.
How to Keep the Momentum Going:
✨Establish steady bedtime and morning routines so mornings feel calm and unhurried.
✨Coordinate Sibling Pick-Ups: We know our middle school siblings get out earlier than we do, but please let your Johnson student stay straight through to the final bell! Pulling elementary students early to match an older sibling’s dismissal time means they miss out on essential end-of-day instruction, hands-on projects, and daily class wrap-ups. Every single minute of their day at Johnson matters! We welcome Webber students in our library after their dismissal until Johnson gets out at 3:03pm.
