Rick Takahashi was one of the art teachers the year we graduated from Rocky. If you get a chance to check out his show, you should.
This is the last few weeks for our Stages of Life, a portrait exhibit, before it closes on August 18th! Make sure you stop by the gallery and see if before it is gone!
Portraiture is an old art form going back as far as ancient Egypt, where it flourished from around 5,000 years ago. Before the invention of photography, a painted, sculpted, or drawn portrait was the only way to record a person’s appearance. Portraits depict the essence of a person or group.
This exhibition features historic portraits from the Museum’s collection exploring the different stages of human life.

Over the weekend, I happened to see P.E. Teacher Jean Maughan (Now Stoltz I believe) during the Fort Collins Artists Studio Tour. She is now 90 and living in Fort Collins and said to say "Hi" to everyone.

My wonderful momma passed away this morning. She loved Dan and I fiercely, stepping into the role of mom for us without any hesitation. There’s honestly no way to sum up her impact on my life and all the wonderful memories I’ve had with her, and words can’t describe how much I’m gonna miss her. I love you momma, I can’t wait to catch up with you again someday.
I’ll post details about planned services as I know them.
