The Summit aims to develop an innovative parent network in collaboration with existing partners to create and implement a community collective coalition within Larimer County. This Summit is designed for parents facing the challenges of the turbulent teenage years. The parental support network being developed will include program development, assessment intervention information, parent networking, educational circles, and easy access to therapeutic services.
Our objective with this unique platform, called the Summit, is to create a cohesive coalition that benefits youth and families from all parts of the community. Additionally, this parent network will enhance communication and provide tools for parents, while collaborating with community adolescent specialists to find solutions for understanding today's teenagers.
The event is free and open to parents, grandparents, and kinship caregivers. Attendees can register via the QR code provided on the attached flyer. Many of our speakers are professionals with years of experience addressing adolescence, covering topics such as Trauma-Informed care and Grief, School Avoidance, Warning signs of Mental/Behavioral Health and Substance use, Gender-Affirming Care, Parenting i-Generation, Resources and information for Spanish-speaking families, and managing social media.
If you have any questions, please contact Laurie at [email protected]. We hope to see you there!
