Some weeks in business are harder than others.

Even for those of us who coach others through the hard stuff there are weeks where you’re navigating your own. Where you wonder if you’re making the right calls. Where the clarity you usually carry feels a little foggy.

This was one of those weeks for me.

And then Thursday night happened.
I watched three college students - 18, 19, and 20 years olds - take a stage and pitch their businesses in front of 100+ people.

A few weeks ago I helped them sharpen their pitch presence. Thursday night I watched them own the room.

I was so proud I could barely stand it.

But here’s what it also did for me. It reignited something I’d been missing. I spend most of my time working with small to midsize business leaders in their 30s, 40s and 50s…my people too.

But young leaders light something different in me.

And it reminded me of something I tell my clients all the time.

Sometimes in the middle of a hard season your next ignition point comes from somewhere you weren’t even looking.

Pay attention to what lights you up this week.

It might be showing you something important.

So proud of these four. šŸ™Œ

Burnout isn’t what I believe is actually happening. What I believe is real - is distortion under stress.

And I see it in the highest level leaders. The ones making moves, building empires, showing up — who somewhere lost trust in themselves.

Not because they’re broken. But because they know they need to show up differently than before — and haven’t found that yet.

So they second guess. Close tabs only to reopen them. And because they’re not trusting what’s happening inside, they can’t open up to the new moves they actually need to make out in the world.

I don’t speak about this because I’ve left it behind. I speak about it because I know it from the inside. Some days I’m only one step ahead of you.

Last Friday I keynoted for the NAWIC Association - a room of extraordinary women leading in construction with grace, grit, and power that left me in awe.

We explored how to become a Leader of Flow — using neuroscience and the mind-body connection to move through high-stakes moments, not by pushing harder, but by learning to work WITH the human machine.

Because when you trust what’s happening inside - the outer world opens up.

Huge shoutout to Rebecca Heustess , Jodi Wiemerslage, Cathy Sorrell, KerryDixon, and the entire NAWIC community. An absolute honor. šŸ™

The most dangerous place you can be? Your head. šŸŽ

Q2 gates are open. The work is done. Your body is ready.

But before you even leave the gate — the noise starts.
Did I do enough? Is this right? Are they ready?

That’s not your gut. That’s your head stealing the race.
Two ways leaders lose it right out of the gate:

They pour it all out at once. Team’s drowning by week two. Sprint and die.

Or they look sideways. Slow down. Second-guess. Trust cracks and so does everything else.

The win? It lives in the body. Not the head.

✦ Restraint:
drip it. Timing over force. Precision over panic.

✦ Congruence:
one energy. One direction. No mixed signals. That’s where your people trust you with everything.

Your body already knows how to win this.

Get out of your head.

Where do you need restraint right now? Where does your congruence need work?

I’ve had a powerful week.

7 insights I’ve connected more deeply to that has made a huge difference:

1. Don’t let go of the people that don’t let go of you.

2. Venting is biological.

3. The pause is the greatest tool I can ever hand you.

4. Your body already knows. Trust it.

5. You signed up for that thing because it was aligned. Even if you’re tired now, GO. Magic happens.

6. Kids. Elderly people. Dogs. Weekly. Non negotiable.

7. Get used to feeling good.

Life is beautiful

AI is freezing people. But here’s the irony…

too little backend prep and AI integration can freeze you too.

Back in early December, I had to pause, pull back, and focus on the backend: systems, strategic AI, my team.

Why? Because April’s speaking season and client work couldn’t flop. Not optional.

Not a ā€œnice-to-have.ā€ This was about showing up fully with energy, presence, and real impact.

Here’s the wild part: many of you are in the opposite bucket.

Pouring into AI, systems, tools… drowning in noise… ignoring the forward-facing work that actually matters: your team, your culture, your clients, your programs.

Frozen. Stalled. Overwhelmed.

The golden thread?

It’s the human running the show.

AI, systems- they’re tools. The real power is elite performance decision-making.

By that I mean: engaging the brilliance of mind + body, staying aligned, making intuitive decisions with timing, flow, and restraint.

Decisions from that state?

You’re not copying anyone else’s blueprint. You’re creating from your power, presence, and impact. That’s how high-level performance happens.

For me?

I paused. Did the backend + AI prep.

Now, stepping into April, I’m all in…
client fulfillment, high-level speaking, showing up fully…

because I trusted alignment, congruence, and mind-body brilliance to guide every move.

So here’s the question (be honest with yourself):

Do you need to focus on backend + AI integration?

Or are you frozen, chasing AI, systems… and avoiding the forward-facing work that actually moves your impact…
clients, team, culture, programs, speaking?

If that tension hits you, let’s talk. I’d love to unpack it and help you figure out where you actually need to be. šŸ”„
