May is Apraxia Awareness Month Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) is a motor speech disorder that makes it difficult for children to plan and produce the movements needed for clear speech. These kids know what they want to say — their brains just need extra support coordinating how to say it. Early, specialized intervention makes a difference. This month, we’re raising awareness, celebrating progress (big and small), and honoring the incredible perseverance of children with apraxia and their families.
