The Learning House The Learning House is currently researching the benefits of a quality early childhood Science and Math program. and Mary Batson, M.Ed.

We are looking into expanding into television and Pod casts to bring Science and Math to the early learner. In order to conduct our research, we have opened Little Lab Preschool and Child Care in the building owned by The Learning House. Little Lab is using a Science and Math curriculum developed by Ernie Batson, M.A. for Preschool, PreKindergarten, and Kindergarten in the morning between the hour

s of 8 and Noon. We know that Science and Math at an early age and presented in a developmentally appropriate method provide great benefits for young children. Many children who attended The Learning House years ago are either in a Science and Math profession or are in college studying Science and Math. Through all this, our goal is to create videos for television and/or YouTube so we can expand our offering to countless other young learners. We know young children want to do Science and Math and can learn so much from their experiences.

This week UPK kids are learning about boats and how many passengers each one can carry; we used foil to make the boats. The Preschoolers learned which fruits and vegetables float and sink. Then they will paint with those vegetables. Will a coconut sink or float?
