πŸ’™πŸ Together, We Rise πŸπŸ’™

At Beattie, we know that strong schools are built on strong relationships. Every day, our students, staff, families, and community members work together to create a place where everyone feels seen, heard, valued, and connected.

When we listen to one another, celebrate each other's strengths, and support one another through challenges, we create a culture where belonging thrives. Every voice matters. Every relationship matters. Every person matters.

Together, we build community. Together, we create belonging. Together, we rise.

Community. Voice. Belonging.

πŸ’™πŸ Community. Voice. Belonging. πŸπŸ’™

At Beattie, we believe that together, we rise.

Our school is strengthened by the relationships and connections we build every dayβ€”staff to staff, staff to students, staff to families, families to families, and families to our broader community. When people feel connected, valued, and heard, they are more likely to take risks, grow, and thrive.

We know that belonging doesn't happen by chance. It is created through conversations, partnerships, celebrations, support, and the simple moments of showing up for one another. Every voice matters, every relationship matters, and every person contributes to the story of our school.

Thank you for helping make Beattie a place where students, families, and staff know they belong. Together, we continue to build a community rooted in connection, care, and possibility. πŸ’™

Today we’re celebrating our incredible Integrated Services Team. πŸ’›

To our teachers, paraprofessionals, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapist, and school psychologistβ€”thank you for the care, expertise, patience, and dedication you bring to Beattie each and every day.

This team does extraordinary work to ensure every student feels seen, supported, and successful. You advocate fiercely, collaborate constantly, problem-solve thoughtfully, and meet students with compassion and skill exactly where they are. The way you work together on behalf of children is powerful, and your impact is felt in classrooms, small groups, hallways, and in countless everyday moments that often go unseen.

Thank you for the relationships you build, the support you provide, and the way you help create a school where all students belong. Beattie is stronger because of you, and we are so grateful for all you do. 🐏✨

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ Happy Flag Day, Beattie Bighorns! πŸπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Today we celebrate Flag Day, a time to recognize the American flag as a symbol of our nation’s history, ideals, and the many people who have helped shape our country.

Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the United States flag on June 14, 1777, and provides an opportunity to reflect on the values of citizenship, service, respect, and community that help bring people together.

As part of our celebration, our Silverton Bighorns shared their voices through a performance of "This Land Is Your Land," reminding us of the beauty, diversity, and shared experiences that connect communities across our country. We are proud of the confidence, joy, and spirit they brought to this special performance. πŸŽΆπŸ’™

Wishing our Beattie families a meaningful Flag Day and a wonderful summer day with family and friends. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

πŸŒˆπŸ’™ Pride Month at Beattie πŸ’™πŸŒˆ

June is a time to honor the history, resilience, advocacy, and contributions of LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities.

At Beattie, we believe every student, family, and staff member deserves to feel safe, valued, respected, and welcomed for who they are. Pride Month is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of creating spaces where people can show up authentically and experience a true sense of belonging.

Allyship can look like listening and learning, respecting names and pronouns, using kind and inclusive language, and helping create a community where everyone is treated with dignity and care.

Together, we continue building a school community where every Bighorn knows they belong.

πŸ’™πŸ Bon Voyage & Congratulations, Jenn Castor! πŸπŸ’™

It is with both excitement and a sadness that we share that Jenn Castor has been selected as the next Principal of Grandview Elementary in Windsor. This incredible opportunity is a testament to the leadership, dedication, and heart she brings to everything she does.

Jenn has been an amazing leader, partner, and friend to the Beattie community. Her commitment to students, staff, and families has helped shape the culture of belonging, collaboration, and care that makes Beattie such a special place. She has led with compassion, integrity, and an unwavering belief in the potential of others, leaving a lasting impact on our school.

While we will deeply miss her presence, partnership, and leadership, we could not be more proud of her. Grandview is gaining an exceptional principal, and we know she will continue to make a positive difference for students, staff, and families.

Please join us in congratulating Jenn on this exciting next chapter and wishing her the very best as she begins her journey at Grandview Elementary. πŸ’™βœ¨

As we celebrate Jenn, we will also begin the search for our next Assistant Principal in the coming weeks.

Thank you, Jenn, for all you have given to Beattie. Once a Bighorn, always a Bighorn. πŸπŸ’™

🎀✨ One of our favorite Beattie traditions… the Talent Show! ✨🎀

Our last day of school wouldn’t be complete without this special tradition. The Beattie Talent Show is always a highlightβ€”filled with creativity, courage, laughter, and so much joy.

From singing and dancing to skits and surprises, our students brought their talents and cheered one another on every step of the way. We’re so proud of the confidence, creativity, and community this event celebrates each year.

What a fun way to close out an incredible school year! πŸ’™πŸ

πŸ”§πŸ Engineering in Action! πŸπŸ”§

Our Mesa Verde Bighorns put their creativity, problem-solving, and perseverance to work as they designed and built Rube Goldberg Machines. These machines use a series of connected steps to accomplish a simple task, helping students explore concepts in engineering, physics, and design thinking.

It was exciting to watch our Bighorns test ideas, make adjustments, and learn from each attempt. Great work, engineers!
