Even though a little lightning cut our end-of-year picnic short, we still had a great time! Special thanks to Miss Grace, Mrs. Van Dixhorn, and all of our volunteers who helped make this event possible. Cheers to summer!

Eli’s thesis explored how growth, love, and adventure are fundamental components of a good life, and his time at Ridgeview reflected those values well. As a student ambassador, he represented the school well while also embracing the adventures that came with the role. Some of his favorite memories were spending time with friends on outdoor trips and building stronger relationships with classmates through those shared experiences.
His advice for younger Hoplites is "to remember to have fun. Don't get too caught up in being worried about your grades and all of the things you have to do, live in the moment and enjoy your time. You will only ever be in high school once, so don't waste it being worried and unhappy all the time."
After graduation, Eli plans to attend the University of Wyoming to pursue a degree in Biology, while continuing his hobby of fixing up old trucks. Congratulations, Eli!

Lydia will be remembered for her many roles in theatre productions and for her powerhouse voice in choir. Some of her favorite Ridgeview memories came from rehearsals for the shows and jazz choir, as well as spending time with the people she loves during art class, breaks, and lunch.
After Ridgeview, Lydia plans to audition for local productions and voice acting opportunities while also finishing her comic and novel and enjoying the creative process without interruption.
Her advice to younger Hoplites is: "Comparison is the thief of joy and there is nothing that will make your time at Ridgeview more miserable then constantly comparing yourself to others. You are not defined by the things that you do but by the person you are. Do not define yourself by your accomplishments nor by your “failures.” You are valuable and you are enough, and nothing is going to take that away from you. Work on loving yourself despite whatever outside opinions you hear."

As one of our graduating “lifers,” Abby’s time at Ridgeview has been marked by meaningful relationships. Her thesis explored the idea that connection with others is an essential part of the good life, a theme reflected in many of her favorite Ridgeview memories. From bonding with classmates on outdoor trips, especially the via ferrata adventure, to performing in Anything Goes and helping decorate for school dances, Abby embraced every opportunity to build community and make lasting memories.
After graduation, Abby plans to attend University of Colorado Boulder to study biomedical engineering.
She advises younger Hoplites "to prioritize your studies but don't forget to spend plenty of time with friends and family as your high school years go a lot faster than you would expect."
Congratulations, Abby! We are excited to see what your future holds!

The end of the school year is full of traditions and celebrations, including curriculum parties across campus!
On Friday, 2nd grade hosted their annual Wax Museum, where students brought historical figures to life by memorizing facts and presenting them to parents, teachers, and fellow Hoplites. Meanwhile, 5th grade wrapped up their Civil War unit with a hands-on celebration featuring games, pole-and-blanket stretcher relays, and even recitations of the Gettysburg Address as students channeled their inner Abraham Lincoln.
