We had a great turnout for our recent mare palpation lab at . This hands-on lab focused on developing palpation skills and improving confidence in reproductive exams.
The mares set a high price in treats and attention, and we were happy to pay it.
Thank you to the ERL team, Dr. Sones, Dr. Burden, and the Therio Club for helping make this opportunity possible.

Still thinking about our equine dental lab ๐ด
Such a great hands-on experience getting more comfortable with dental exams and floats, as well as learning through real cases with some very patient horses.
A big thank you to Dr. Bowen from and to CSU Dental Club for partnering with us. We really appreciate the time and effort that went into making this event possible.

At the end of August, CSU SCAAEP members traveled to Lexington, KY for the Opportunities in Equine Practice Seminar (OEPS).
At the event, members explored equine veterinary careers, connected with leading practitioners, and gained hands-on experience through wet labs in colic care, ultrasound, dentistry, and lameness/rehab.
The trip also offered time to meet SCAAEP members from other schools, reconnecting with old friends and building new friendships.
Thank you to , , ,, , , the Kentucky horse community, and every clinic there that shared their time and expertise. We had a great time and learned a lot!

This weekend was one for the books with our annual crossroads event! We hosted 40 veterinary students, 7 pre-vet students, 8 visiting clinics, and live-streamed to 9 other SCAAEP chapters. It was an incredible opportunity for students to learn vital practice skills and valuable internship/externship information from leaders in our field. Thank you so much to our visiting practices, our students, and our sponsors!
