We would like to appreciate our sponsors Colorado State University, CableLabs, Credit Union CVS Pharmacy
representation, FNBO, National Science Foundation (NSF), of Colorado, American Indian College Fund for making the 2024 Summer Cybersecurity Camp a success.
Over the course of the five-day cybersecurity camp, our campers gained substantial knowledge and created a website to display their newfound skills.
To summarize, they learned about the complexities of cryptography, digital forensics, ethical hacking, data privacy, phishing, and blockchain. Although they only scratched the surface of said topics, this camp has really opened a new door of opportunities, interests, and future career paths. All in all, this camp was really fun, hands-on, and overall, well organized.

Day 2: June 4 at the 2024 Summer Cybersecurity Camp was nothing short of spectacular! Our campers learned about the diverse roles and paths they can pursue in cybersecurity, the basics of cryptography, computer networks, and 3D printing.

We are thrilled to welcome 30 high school students to the 2024 Cybersecurity Summer Camp.
Day 1 - June 3 at Cybersecurity Summer Camp was a blast! 🎉 Yesterday, our bright young minds dove headfirst into the dynamic world of cybersecurity, kicking off their journey with an engaging camp overview and a fun icebreaker session. 🤝
We started the morning with a thought-provoking talk on the ethics of cybersecurity, setting the tone for the responsible use of technology. 🔍 Then, we explored the core principles of cybersecurity with the CIA Triad—Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability—through interactive games that brought these concepts to life! 🎮
Post-lunch, our campers got hands-on with virtual machines, learning how to navigate and utilize them as powerful tools in cybersecurity. 🖥️ The day wrapped up with a thrilling Terminal Treasure Hunt and a Kahoot quiz, where our students put their new knowledge to the test, discussing how they can be superheroes in protecting digital information. 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️
We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to see how our campers will continue to grow and excel in this exciting field. Stay tuned for more updates!

Good morning everyone!
We are so proud of our students. Over the last two days of camp, we have finished our cryptography module, solved an escape room with our new cryptographic skills, learned about the fundamentals of blockchain, and implemented our own blockchain to send messages to each other.
We will continue our discussion on blockchain today with an introduction to crypto currencies!

Thank you to everyone who came out today for the first day of cyber camp!
Day 1 recap:
Today we learned about hashing functions, the history and applications of cryptography, distributed secure computation, the enigma machine-it’s construction and important historical context- and we finished the day off by encrypting and decrypting messages with our own versions of the enigma machines.
Up next:
Tomorrow, the students will use the enigma machines, along with the background knowledge and skills they acquire, to solve an escape room scenario.
We are excited for tomorrow, and for Wednesday when we will begin our discussion on blockchain.
