I’m excited to be heading to balmy Orlando to share the message of Raising Capable Kids at the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities Conference (CARD). Sending all our kids the message that they are capable is critical- and even more so when they have a disability or identify as a neurodivergent. Please share this post to get the word out about Raising Capable Kids!

So proud to announce the release of my new book, "Raising Capable Kids". This book picks up where "Capable" left off, but it is no longer my story. It is the story of all of us who are raising our children to be defined by their voice, agency, and resilience-- not their disability. It introduces each of the 12 habits with the true story of a family like yours who is raising a capable. curious human in spite of their diagnosis or challenge. Here you will find not only great stories, but an actionable guide for trying on the habits and an easy-to-understand explanation of the neuroscience supporting each one. You can pick "Raising Capable Kids" up at https://us.jkp.com/products/raising-capable-kids with no shipping charge- or on Amazon, or B & N Booksellers. Please help me get the word out by sharing this post with all your friends & anyone who you think could benefit.
