☕️ Partnership in Action! 🤝

It was so great seeing so many Home Teachers at this morning’s Home Teacher Coffee! ☕️

Ideas were shared, connections were made, coffee was enjoyed, and door prizes were given! 🎉 We love bringing our Home Teachers together to connect, collaborate, and support one another in making hybrid learning a success.

📅 Join us the 1st Tuesday of every month for Home Teacher Coffee!

🚶‍♀️ You can also join us for our Home Teacher Wellness Walks on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month!

One week in and we are already soaring! 🚀💙

Our building is looking great with a brand-new banner! Home Teachers, teachers, and students have been partnering together in Learning Labs, and students have been having fun connecting with their classmates!

Our staff is loving every minute of partnering with our students, even when it means our principal is helping out in the lunch line! 😂🍎

We are off to a great start and can’t wait to see what this year has in store for our Pioneers! 💙🚀

We are excited to welcome Amy Felder. She has been at PGA in the PSD Options Program and now will be teaching ELA for PGA students!

Amy Felder is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher (Early and Middle Childhood certification) with over 19 years of teaching experience. She earned her MA from University of Northern Colorado and BA from College of Charleston. Monday through Thursday she teaches 8th grade English at Poudre Global Academy. On Fridays, she is a K-1 Enrichment Teacher at PSD Options. In addition to teaching full-time, she is the editor for Collage, the official journal of the Colorado Art Education Association. 

While Amy is a very committed and dedicated teacher, she is also an artist. Spanning a breadth of mediums including paintings, wall hangings, installation work, and embroidery, her work reflects a contemporary experience of nature and struggle to preserve wilderness.

Hello Global Academy community! I am thrilled to be your Physical Education teacher this year.

My goal is to foster a supportive environment where every student can discover the joy of movement, build confidence, and develop lifelong healthy habits.

Here is a little bit about my background:
My Education & Background
Master of Sport Pedagogy & K-12 PE Teaching License – University of Northern Colorado
B.S. in Business Administration – Mary Washington College (VA)
Athletic & Coaching Leadership

In addition to teaching, I have spent the past nine years serving as the district lacrosse coach for the PSD Stars girls team. I am deeply committed to youth wellness and also recently launched Manic Training Kids, a functional fitness program focused on helping children build strength and coordination through engaging movement.

My Favorite Activities
When I am not coaching or teaching, I love traveling and exploring new places with my husband and two kids, or just hanging out at home with our dog, Duncan! To stay active myself, you can usually find me trail running, playing pickleball, working out, or practicing hot yoga.

☀️ We hope everyone is having an amazing summer!

It’s hard to believe, but the 2026–2027 school year will be here before we know it. For those who like to get a head start, we’re sharing our school supply list so you can begin preparing early.

📚 Since our students learn both at school and at home, please remember that you’ll want to have supplies available in both places to support learning on at-home days.

If your family needs assistance getting school supplies, please reach out to your Partnership Coordinator, homeroom teacher, or counselor. We’re here to help!
