Looking forward to Dr. Sara Place sharing her insights on livestock sustainability and methane measurement at the 2026 State of the Science Summit hosted by the CLEAR Center at UC Davis.

Animal agriculture sits at the center of one of the most important climate conversations of our time. How we measure, manage, and ultimately reduce the environmental impact of livestock production is at the top of that discussion. 🐄 🐂

That’s why we’re bringing together the “Evaluation of Existing & Emerging Measurement Strategies” panel at the 2026 State of the Science Summit.

Speakers include:

🔵 Moderator, Karen Beauchemin at Global Methane Hub
⚫️ Sara Place at AgNext at Colorado State University
🔵 Mutian Niu at ETH Zürich
⚫️ Joe Jacobs at Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action

This session reviews established and emerging measurement technologies, including their methodological differences and applicability across production systems. It will also consider validation efforts and implications for broader adoption.
