Mountainside Elementary music just got a major upgrade! 🎸🥁

Music Teacher Mr. Meyer recently received a donation of brand-new guitars and a full drum set for students from the organization Bringing Music to Life. We can't wait to hear the amazing music students will create!

"I'm very excited about using my guitars and drum set in the room because I'd love to do more in the modern band program...and getting my kids exposed to rock music and pop music and all those exciting entry points into music," said Mr. Meyer.

Join us on Monday, August 10, from 3:00–4:00 PM for our Meet the Teacher event!

Come meet your child's teacher, visit the classroom, and get ready for an exciting new school year. Classroom teacher assignments will be posted at the event, so be sure to check the teacher lists when you arrive.

Come meet your principal/ admin team! And get a backpack filled with supplies!

Note: Students have to be enrolled in FFC8. Backpacks and supplies are limited. First come, first served. No preregistration required.

This year's race theme: "From the Frontier to the Future", where history comes alive with every stride!

The 5K raises funds for programs vital to the health and wellness of the Fountain-Fort Carson community, including the Fountain-Fort Carson Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, and Su***de Prevention efforts.

Ages 12+ = $30 Ages 5-11 = $25 Ages 4 and under = FREE
