2026-27 Free & Reduced-Price Meals

Families living on military installations may be eligible for free or reduced-price school meals for the 2026-27 school year.

Applications opened July 1 and can be submitted anytime. Prior-year benefits continue for up to 30 operating school days; after that, a new application is required.

Bowley families, we’re sharing an important update. In the coming days, our page will transition from Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) to Department of War Education Activity (DOWEA).
Although the name is changing, our commitment to Bowley students, families and educators remains the same.

The DoDEA Stakeholder Feedback Survey is now open.

Parents and students across DoDEA are invited to share their experiences and perspectives to help strengthen schools worldwide. Feedback gathered through the survey helps inform decisions at the school, district, regional, and agency levels.

The survey is open January 29 through March 13 and takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete. Survey access is sent through DSIS email.

In the event of a lapse in appropriations after September 30, 2025, leading to a “government shutdown,” DoDEA schools will remain open for normal operations, except for sports (including practices) and extracurricular activities, which will pause during a shutdown.
