Update on Bravo Company Graduation, we are leaning forward today on completing the 5 jumps. We will graduate after we finish jumping. If we are unable to complete all the jumps, soldiers who have completed will graduate this evening and finish on Monday.

Paratroopers of the 1-507th commemorate the 81st Anniversary of D-Day in France

Before the 1-507th was assigned to be the Department of Defense’s Airborne School, it was an Airborne Infantry Regiment that fought and won numerous battles on the Western Front of World War Two. Notably, the 1-507th conducted Airborne Operations on D-Day alongside its Sister Regiment, the 1-508th. These two Regiments secured the French Village of Amfreville after a scattered drop, and held the line against German Forces near the Mederet River. The Regiment would go on to be key components in The Battle of the Bulge and Operarion Varsity, and establishing a legacy of bravery, determination, and victory.

81 years later, that legacy lives on in the Paratroopers of the 1-507th today. It continues to be displayed and maintained through the annual Airborne Operations and Ceremonies held in Graignes, France.

The Command Team of the 1-507th, LTC Venafro and CSM Couturier, placed a wreath on the Franco-American Memorial to honor the sacrifice of the men who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their nation.

B CO is well on their way to Jump 5! Graduation will be tomorrow, 22MAY, at 0900 at the Airborne Walk.
