E.A. White Elementary School welcomed new families Aug. 7 during its Parent University New Family Orientation, giving parents and students a chance to learn about school programs, meet staff and explore resources available for the 2026-2027 school year.

📢 Important Schedule Reminders for E.A. White Families 📢

Please note the following upcoming schedule changes:

✅ No School for students on Friday, September 4, due to Professional Learning.
✅ No School on Monday, September 7, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
✅ Tuesday, September 8 is an Early Release Day. Dismissal will begin at 2:30 p.m.

📅 Reminder: Every second Tuesday of the month is designated as an Early Release Day for all students.

We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend, and we look forward to welcoming students back on Tuesday!

Our fourth graders put their engineering and problem-solving skills to the test during the "Saving Fred" Planning Challenge! 🔎 Working collaboratively in teams, students developed and communicated a three-step plan to rescue Fred using only the provided materials.

Through this engaging investigation, students practiced important science skills by asking questions, planning solutions, working collaboratively, and using evidence-based thinking. Team members shared ideas, evaluated possible outcomes, and refined their plans before beginning the challenge.

We are proud of the creativity, communication, and perseverance our students demonstrated as they worked together like real scientists and engineers!

Our 5th graders recently accepted a special Math Mission: answering the question, "What does math look like for you?" Students explored their math journeys by responding to questions on anchor charts with sticky notes. They reflected on prompts like:

⭐ Where do you feel you glow in math? 💭 What makes you feel brave enough to share your math thinking? 🌱 What area do you want to grow in math?

The colorful wall of sticky notes became a powerful display of confidence, growth, and student voice. We loved seeing our students recognize their strengths, celebrate their progress, and share what helps them succeed in math.

Way to go, 5th grade mathematicians! We are proud of your courage, creativity, and willingness to think deeply about your learning. 💙

🎒What a special day! Our UPK students had their very first day of school today, and it was filled with big smiles and lots of excitement.

From walking into the classroom for the first time to meeting new friends and exploring their new learning spaces, our youngest learners took a big step on an important journey. We know starting school is a milestone for both children and families, and we're so happy to be part of it.

Our UPK program provides a warm, nurturing, play-based environment where children can learn, grow, and build confidence every day. We can't wait to see all the fun, learning, and memories this school year will bring.
