Fort Atkinson FFA FFA makes a difference in the lives of students by developing their premier leadership, personal growth and career success through Agriculture Education.

"Future Farmers of America" was founded by a group of young farmers back in 1928. Their mission was to prepare future generations for the challenges of feeding a growing population. They taught us that agriculture is more than planting and harvesting-- it's a science, it's a business and it's an art. FFA continues to help the next generation rise up to meet those challenges by helping its members to develop their own unique talents and explore their interests in a broad range of career pathways. So today, we are still the Future Farmers of America. But, we are the Future Biologists, Future Chemists, Future Veterinarians, Future Engineers and Future Entrepreneurs of America, too.

Fort Atkinson FFA is PROUD to announce the appointment of TWO of our members to the Wisconsin Youth Council for the 2026-2027 school year.

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) has selected fifteen members for the next Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council. Members will attend monthly virtual sessions from September 2026 to May 2027 during their senior year of high school.

โ€œCongratulations to the members of the seventh Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council," said DATCP Secretary Randy Romanski. โ€œI am proud of the previous, current, and upcoming council members, and I look forward to meeting with this council in the year ahead."

During council sessions, members will listen to presentations and engage in discussions about a variety of agricultural topics. At the conclusion of their term, Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council members will receive a certificate for their service.

The goals of the Wisconsin Agriculture Youth Council are to highlight agricultural-related career opportunities, share tools available to support farmers, provide insight into agriculture policy development, and increase networking opportunities for participants. Council members were selected through a competitive review process.
