What a four days it has been for the Coding Canines!

This incredible group of students earned the opportunity to represent our school at the WAFFLE Invitational at WPI, competing alongside some of the best FIRST LEGO League teams from across the country. Along the way, they achieved a table score of 335, collaborated with teams from around the world, and were selected as one of only seven teams to present their Innovation Project on the main stage.

Whether people recognized us for our team spirit or for the collection of crutches traveling with us, we may never know! What we do know is that these students showed perseverance, teamwork, kindness, and determination every step of the way.

From August until now, they have worked together on every decision, overcome challenges, supported one another, and represented our school with pride. We couldn't be more proud of the way they competed, communicated, and carried themselves throughout this experience.

Tomorrow we fly home with memories that will last a lifetime and a renewed goal: earn our way back to another invitational in the future.

Way to go, Coding Canines! 🐾🤖

🐾 Day 3 is a wrap! 🐾

The Coding Canines finished strong with a table score of 335! Since August, these students have worked together on every decision, supported fellow teams, and shown what true teamwork looks like.

Tomorrow they'll share their Innovation Project with teams from around the world at WAFFLE, and we're excited to announce that they have been invited to present on the main stage!🎉 Out of 107 teams, only a select few received this honor.

We couldn't be prouder of how they've represented our school and community. One more day to shine, Coding Canines! 🐶 🧇

That’s a wrap on day two!

The Coding Canines have completed their practice match and continued to make new friends! Between practicing their missions, they were busy explaining their project and having students play the game they made.

Tomorrow we have official robot runs at 11:41, 1:20, 2:48, and 5:11.

These students are continuing to “C” it up!

Day 2 Morning Update!

Presentation Day!
These Coding Canines got a quick practice before presentations and knocked it out the park in the judging room. We weren’t allowed to record the Q&A but we were allowed to record their presentation. Now we rest and will regroup to run some practice robot runs.

New team. Same Coding Canine spirit. 🐾🌎

Meet the students representing Monroe County on the world stage! Their favorite part of practice? Team building and snack time—which means we're especially thankful for everyone who has kept our snack tub stocked along the way. 🍪❤️

Watch their introduction and fun facts below as they share who they are and where they come from!
