🍪🍋 Come Support Our Little Entrepreneurs! 🍋🍪

These amazing girls came to cooking camp, saw an opportunity to help, and decided to take action! Throughout the week, they worked hard learning new skills, building confidence, and creating delicious treats—and now they’re ready to put those skills to use.

Join us this Saturday from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM for homemade cookies and fresh lemonade made with love by our junior chefs!

All proceeds will go toward helping Roots of Curiosity reach our goal of purchasing a school bus. Every cookie purchased and every cup of lemonade enjoyed brings us one step closer.

🚍 HELP Us Bring Learning Beyond the Classroom! 🚍 (kinda long post)

Okay, don't judge us for this one. 😅

You may notice that we're using HoneyFund to raise money for our school bus. Yes, we know it's usually used for weddings and honeymoons! But after researching fundraising platforms, we discovered that HoneyFund allows 100% of your donation to go directly toward our goal without charging donors additional fees or taking a percentage of the funds raised.

So apparently, HoneyFund thinks we're a couple. 🤷‍♀️

And honestly, they're not entirely wrong.

Roots of Curiosity isn't just a business to me—it's a relationship, a calling, and a dream that I pour my heart into every single day.

Every summer, teachers across the country ask for donations to help purchase classroom supplies, books, and materials that make learning more meaningful for their students. This summer, I'm asking for something a little bigger.

We're raising funds to purchase a school bus so we can safely transport our students to field trips, community events, service projects, nature explorations, and hands-on learning experiences beyond our classroom walls.

And our amazing Cooking Camp kiddos want to help! ❤️

They'll be hosting a Bake Sale & Lemonade Stand on SATURDAY, June 20th from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM to help raise money for the bus. These sweet kids have been learning that even small acts can make a big difference, and they're excited to do their part to help future students enjoy enriching experiences beyond the classroom.

Can't make it to the bake sale? You can still support our fundraiser by pre-ordering delicious popcorn from What’s Poppin! Every purchase helps us get one step closer to putting a bus on the road for our students and creating more opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration.

We believe some of the most meaningful learning happens when children can experience the world around them firsthand. A school bus would allow us to provide more opportunities while keeping transportation safe, reliable, and accessible for all of our families.

This week’s camp looked very different from last week’s, and if I’m being completely transparent as a teacher, I was a little nervous.

We only had two campers in our 7–9 age group, and since I’m so used to working with littles, I found myself wondering: Would I be able to keep them engaged all day? Would they enjoy camp with just the two of them?

The answer was a resounding YES. ❤️

What started as uncertainty turned into one of the sweetest weeks. The intimate setting gave me the opportunity to truly get to know these girls—their personalities, their gifts, their love for Jesus, and their hearts for serving others. We laughed, learned, cooked, prayed, and created memories that I know I’ll cherish for a long time.

This week was such a beautiful reminder that sometimes God works in the smallest settings to create the biggest impact.

I am so grateful for these girls and their families and the time we shared together. I can’t wait for our July camp sessions to begin and see all the amazing things God has in store!
