🌽Considering corn for silage this year?

The hot, dry conditions across North Dakota are leaving some producers weighing whether to harvest their corn for grain or chop it for silage. With potential feed shortages due to drought, knowing the value of a standing corn crop is an important part of that decision.

NDSU Extension has updated resources to help producers evaluate their options, including a corn silage publication and an Excel-based silage decision tool where you can plug in your own numbers from your operation.

School is back in session! 🍎🎒✏️

With a new school year starting, we have some fun facts to share! Did you know there's agriculture in your school supplies?
🌱 One acre of soybeans can produce 82,368 crayons!
🌾One bushel of wheat can make 700 whole-wheat sandwiches
🌿One bale of cotton can make 1,200 T-shirts
🌳 One tree can make around 170,000 pencils!
