♟️ Checkmate!

Eight cadets put their skills to the test last weekend during a chess tournament organized by instructors Alex and Brynn Welch.

After some competitive matches, Cadet Phan claimed first place, with Cadet Cui finishing second! Both walked away with bragging rights, and some well-earned snacks. 🏆

Congratulations to all cadets who competed, and thank you to our instructors for creating another opportunity for cadets to challenge themselves and enjoy a little friendly competition outside the classroom!

Lt. General John E. Jackson, http://Jr., the Academy's ninth president, was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery this morning with full military honors. Current and past members of the Academy's administration and faculty were in attendance for the ceremony, including the Academy's current acting president, Stephen Macek, who was serving as a middle school science teacher when General Jackson arrived on campus more than three decades ago.

🔔 The bell has rung. The school year is officially underway.

Over the past several days, families arriving at Fork Union have had the opportunity to ring the Blair Pulliam Victory Bell, marking the beginning of a new chapter for their cadets.

Today, on the first day of classes, Battalion Commander Nehemiah Allen had the honor of ringing the bell once more to signal the start of the 2026–2027 Academic Year.
