Just a reminder that the homework program for the forest park Library ended in April. We will NOT be at the Library today. We hope you amd your learners have a wonderful summer! Our summer programming and hours will be available this week.

🐝 Exciting news for families in Forest Park!

The Forest Park Public Library now offers Homework Help every Monday through May 25, 2026 (excluding Memorial Day).

Smarter Bees Educational Services is proud to continue partnering with the library to support local learners. While the library program runs 3:30–5:30 PM, Smarter Bees will be present on select Mondays for additional academic support.

📅 Smarter Bees will be there:
March 16
April 13
May 18

⏰ Smarter Bees support time:
3:30 – 4:45 PM

Registration is required for the dates when Smarter Bees is present.

We are so excited to see this program continue growing and look forward to supporting students and families in our community.

Families who participate in the Homework Help program may also receive a community partner discount on tutoring and consulting services through Smarter Bees Educational Services.

Fluency is more than reading words correctly. It is expression, pacing, comprehension, and confidence.

Our Readers Theater class helps learners strengthen reading fluency by bringing stories to life. Instead of worksheets, students practice expressive reading, build understanding, and grow comfortable reading aloud in a supportive environment.

Readers Theater supports:
• Stronger fluency

• Increased confidence
• Meaningful engagement with text

The Importance of Sleep for Learning

Sleep is essential for memory, focus, and emotional balance. A predictable bedtime helps children learn more effectively.

• Keep a calm bedtime routine: reading, dim lights, and quiet time.
• Limit screens an hour before bed.
• Encourage consistency—even on weekends.

Research published in the Journal of Sleep Research (2020) found that children who get sufficient, regular sleep show stronger attention and academic performance.

A well-rested brain is a ready-to-learn brain.
