I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of pianist Ann Schein. I had the distinct privilege of studying with her at the Aspen Music Festival in 1994, which was an incredible experience and a profound time of learning for me. She was a master pianist and a dedicated teacher, and her absence will be a tremendous loss to the music world.

My thoughts and heart are with her family and those who had the honor of knowing and working with her.
