Vowel Squash! A fan favorite. I dictate a word, and the student squashes the vowel sound they hear in that word. Then, they write the word on the white board. In this example, I was dictating nonsense words to this student to help them break their habit of guessing. We started with "raff". Then I said, "can you change 'raff' to 'roff'?" They wrote the correct word, and you can see in the picture they are about to squash that /O/ vowel! What are some ways that you use play dough for learning? Comment below ⬇️ ⠀
