With deep sorrow, my mom passed away at 12:50 this morning. I was with her when she died. She was in immense pain and now in Heaven with our family members and friends and Our Lord Jesus Christ. Kramer Funeral Home handling her funeral. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday, 11/4/17 and funeral starting at 1:00 pm. Everything will be at First Baptist Church in Lecompte, LA. Thank all for the many prayers for my dear mom and all the generosity and help during my mother’s illness and after. Love and hugs to all of you.

Lula Mae McKee TassinFuneral services for Lula Mae McKee Tassin will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015, in Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Lloyd Whitman officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and will resume on Friday, at the church from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Lula Mae McKee Tassin, 82 of Alexandria, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at Grace Home. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Lawrence (L.J.) Tassin; and one brother, Gary McKee. Lula Mae was a loving wife and mother. She was a very active member for over 60 years at Trinity United Methodist Church. Lula devoted her life to the care of her husband, children, grandchildren, and numerous other children for whom she had babysat throughout the years.Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, David Tassin (Deborah) of Alexandria, Grady Tassin of Colfax, Francis Tassin (Frances) of Boyce, and Phillip Tassin (Cori) of Alexandria; her daughters, Nancy Meilleur (Jeff) of Alexandria, Suzan Miller of Colfax, and Patti Freeman of Alexandria; 18 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Ronnie Wallace Stevens Sr.

Memorial services celebrating the life of Ronnie Wallace Stevens, Sr. will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, Louisiana.

Mr. Stevens, age 66, passed from this life on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at his home in Denham Springs, Louisiana.

Mr. Stevens was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on June 24, 1948 to Joseph and Gertrude Stevens.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Henry Stevens and Letha Gertrude Stevens; and siblings, Violet Owens, Lorraine Sedersten, Louise Crump, Bonnie Stevens, Beverly Lynn Stevens; Henry Stevens, Herman Wayne Stevens, and Kenneth Dale Stevens.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Caroline, son, Ronnie, Jr. (Ashley), grandsons Ronnie, III and Weston of Deville, Louisiana; daughter, Beverly Lynn Stevens of Pineville, Louisiana, grandson, Bryce and ex-wife, Betty Pope Stevens of Pineville, Louisiana. Also left to cherish his memory are siblings Eva Geraldine Hull of Panama; Joseph Ray Stevens (Terry) of Ft. Worth, Texas and Betty Elaine Wright, (Jack) of Calcasieu, Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
