North Iowa Literacy Laboratory Universal Design + Science of Reading. A lifelong passion project taking root in fertile Iowa soil.

I offer two tiers of service from pre-kindergarteners to high school seniors.

1. Homework Help $20/hour
I will assist your child with homework assigned by the school.

2. Diagnostic Reading Tutoring $25/hour
I will assess your child with many of the same tools that the school’s reading specialist would use. I will use this information to create, implement, and monitor a prescriptive program of

remedial tutoring to address your child’s difficulties in reading and writing. I will use a variety of textual, audio-visual, and hands-on activities. For upper elementary and older students, I will incorporate study skills and reading to learn strategies. Both tiers of service include weekly progress reports and collaboration with your child’s teacher. I look forward to helping your learner achieve a positive and productive relationship with reading!
