Don't forget to tune in tomorrow to the NCDPI YouTube channel to see the CHASE Middle School 8th Grade Chorus perform LIVE at the NC Department of Public Instruction in Raleigh!

✨ Big news for our CHASE Middle School 8th Grade Chorus! ✨

Our 8th Grade Chorus has been invited to perform at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in Raleigh on Tuesday, September 16th as part of Arts in Education Week! 🎶

These talented students have worked so hard, earning Superior ratings at MPA two years in a row, performing with the Symphony of Rutherford County, and sharing music with our local senior citizens. Now, they get the amazing honor of representing our school and our community on a statewide stage.

The performance will be livestreamed at 11:30am on the NCDPI YouTube channel – we’d love for you to tune in and cheer on our students as they showcase their voices and share the joy of music. 💙💛

The 100th Army Band will be in concert at Forest City Pavilion On Park Square - POPS on Monday, June 30 at 7:00PM! Admission is free! Concessions will be available from Explore Forest City!

We’re excited to share that our director, Mr. Henderson, has been named a Quarterfinalist for the 2026 Grammy Music Educator Award! This honor recognizes teachers who have made a significant impact through music education—and we’re proud to see Mr. Henderson’s dedication to our students and school community celebrated on a national level.

👏 The and GRAMMY Museum have announced the quarterfinalists for the annual Music Educator Award, which honors impactful music educators in the U.S.

We had a WONDERFUL time at our first Senior Citizens & Grandparents Day today! I was very happy with the turn out and I hope all of our audiences enjoyed the performances! This is definitely something we need to turn in to a tradition, so we will start making plans for next year’s event! 🏴‍☠️

Today is chorus’ turn at Carowinds! I thought they did a really good job especially considering we combined 7th and 8th grade for this performance. Now let’s ride some rides! 🎢🎡
