We are incredibly grateful to the Rutherfordton Garden Club for their wonderful food donation to the RCS Backpack Program! Your generosity helps us ensure that local children have nutritious meals over the weekend.

We wanted to share what our wonderful friends at have made possible for our child hunger program. Food Lion Foundation and Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina have teamed up to provide access to nutritious food and help end childhood hunger. The Foundation provided a $200,000 Summers Without Hunger grant to provide additional support to families and children faced with nutritional challenges during school breaks. Thank you for helping provide food and hope in our community.
