DHIA scholars, staff, families, elected officials and community leaders came together to celebrate this special milestone and 10 years of accomplishments and successes at DHIA.

During the celebration, DHIA also announced its official mascot — the Mariposa Monarca (Monarch Butterfly)!

Congratulations to Tracy Hofmann of Virginia Primrose Elementary School, who was celebrated at this week's San Bernardino County (SBCSS) Teachers of the Year event for her recognition as a 2025–2026 Fontana Unified School District Teacher of the Year!

Room to Grow!

Today, we celebrated the groundbreaking of a new TK–6 elementary school, expanding learning opportunities for scholars across our growing community.

Anticipated to open in fall 2028, the 63,000-square-foot campus will serve up to 800 scholars and feature innovative STEAM learning spaces, a flexible multipurpose and performance space, playground and hard-court areas, and outdoor learning spaces.

From new schools and modernized campuses to improvements that enhance learning environments across FUSD, we remain committed to investing in spaces where every scholar can learn, grow and thrive.

On Patriot Day, we remember.

Twenty-five years after September 11, 2001, our FUSD community remembers the lives lost, honors the bravery and sacrifice of first responders, and reflects on the lasting impact of this day on our nation.

Fontana High School’s CTE Public Services Pathways — Fire Technology, EMS, and Law Enforcement — joined MCJROTC in a commemorative event honoring those who lost their lives and those who serve.

At Summit High School, the day began with a flag ceremony with members of the U.S. Army and a moment of silence. Throughout the day, scholars also had the opportunity to connect with representatives from law enforcement, emergency medical services, the fire service, military recruiters, and other public service organizations.

We will never forget.
