Congratulations to all students for the achievements awarded last night. It is always enjoyable to see the faces of those receiving awards. Some students know what they will receive and some are completely caught off guard with an award. Parents, you also are to be commended for the work and effort you give throughout the school year. I know life is not easy nor is it convenient. Thank you for making an investment in your families and your children. Thank you for letting TBS be an extension of you!

I want to mention someone who I forgot to recognize last night. My daughter, Annika Shaeffer, is to be recognized for the 8 different times she substituted for TBS Staff. Her effort and standing in the gap two weeks ago was a huge blessing. No, she did not teach everything I would have, however, she was the one to stand in the gap. Ministries need willing servants like this. I really appreciate her willingness and gift to our school in this role of substitute teacher. Thank you Annika!

Field Trips today! Looking forward to the time outside for both groups! School will dismiss at a normal time. Students in the Jr and Sr. High will clean out their lockers today so there might be several things coming home this afternoon. Just an FYI.

Thank you for signing up for Kohler. I know July is a vacation/travel month for many. We will do our best to fill these spots for the fundraiser. If you did not sign up and are able to help, please step in to the auditorium and sign up on the back tables. I will send out a couple of summer reminders for this as we get closer to the event!

Hope you have a great day! Enjoy the sunshine and the second to last day of school!

TBS Nation,

Good morning TBS and welcome to our Tuesday. It is a hot lunch day and Dale S. will be making homemade pizza. I know this will be popular for sure! Today we have some rain to navigate and it looks like we might have to be inside for most of the day. I understand that there are warmer temperatures in our future so I guess we can look forward to that.

Just a reminder that the TBS Awards night will be held Wednesday evening @ 6:30pm. Students will be singing and we will also have our Kindergarten Graduation at the end of the night. The evening usually takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes or so. Still looking forward to a fun evening! Also, make sure you put the Kohler Picnic Fundraiser on your calendar now. TBS is looking for 20 volunteers for July 17th and 18th. This is an easy fundraiser and it specifically helps keep tuition low. School families should jump in and help, it’s a great opportunity for community and service. We are calling on TBS Nation to fill out the spots now!

As the end of the school year approaches, it is good to remember that we have had a good year. The Lord has blessed TBS again this year and we anticipate a great year to come. The 2026-27 enrollment forms went out two weeks ago. We are looking for those registrations to be returned. If you have not submitted them to us, please do so this week. Curriculum orders and other plans are already being made based on our numbers for next year.

Hope you have a great morning. Pack the umbrella today - you’ll need it till about noon!

TBS Nation,

Good morning TBS and welcome to our final Monday of the school year. Hard to believe that we are in our final week of school, yet here we are. Maybe I don’t feel like it because of the cool weather. While I was driving in this morning, I have seen so many rooftops with heavy frost on them. Crazy that we are still dealing with this…. I was reminded that in 1990, the FDL area had 5-7 inches of snow. I don’t think that will happen but it was cold enough last night for sure.

This week ahead we have the TBS Awards night on Wednesday @ 6:30pm. TBS will also celebrate Kindergarten Graduation that evening. Both Choirs will sing and we will hand out awards per usual. We are asking that dress code be Sunday casual w/ no shorts. Look nice for the final service of the school year! Next year we will celebrate at least 4 graduates! Looking forward to that already!

Hope you have a good week. Hope it warms up a bit as well! Enjoy your Monday!

TBS Nation,

Good morning and welcome to Thursday. We have a normal day in front of us with another opportunity to learn and grow! Last night, many attended the AWANA Awards at TBC. There was good food and a good attendance in the house. I believe that many young people know more abut the Bible now compared to the beginning of the year. This is our goal…to reach young people with the Gospel. There is no other more important thing!

The TBS choirs are practicing for the end of the year kindergarten graduation event next Wednesday. TBS will celebrate Awards night as well. Hope you can make it out. The night will start at 6:30m and then end around 7:30pm. Remember that next Friday the TBS school year ends with a Picnic @ the Parsonage back yard. I am hopeful that the final 7 school days will go smoothly!

Re-Enrollment Forms have been distributed. I you have not turned those back in to the TBS office, please do so soon. Tuition Statements and Annual Calendar documents will be sent out to those who have filled out the information. If you are planning on returning, we need that re-enrollment form sooner than later! I have extra copies in the office if you have misplaced yours!

Continue to pray for Zeke and Hannah in MT. I know they are still working on healing and getting back to normal!

Hope you have a great Thursday….see you soon!

TBS Nation,

Good morning TBS and welcome to our Wednesday. For many, tonight is the awards night for the TBC AWANA Clubs. If you are part of that make sure you are ready to join us for dinner and awards to follow. I believe things kick off around 5:30 or so for the dinner and then the program will follow. There will be a transition back to a summer kids program & TBC will offer an adult prayer / Bible study that will continue all summer in the main auditorium.

School is normal today…. Chapel will take place again. Pastor Charlie will be in the elementary and I will be in the Jr. and Sr. High for the morning. The rest of the week will be normal as well. Hopefully the final week and a half will be smooth will a great transition into summer.

TBS will celebrate Awards night and Kindergarten Graduation NEXT Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. This is always a fun night and it will be a good time of celebration. We have one Kindergarten Graduate - Gwen Jolly! Congratulations girl!

Hope you all have a good morning and day.

TBS Nation,

Good morning TBS and welcome to our Tuesday. Yesterday the Jr/Sr High went up to EAA and toured the Museum full of rich history in aviation. I was taken back when I heard our tour guide say that it only took 66 years for mankind to go from primitive flight (Wright Bros) to space travel (NASA). The Amazing innovation and mathematical skill is truly remarkable. Sometimes I am asked, “Why do we need to learn math and science?”….Well, I guarantee we would not have flight or space travel without it. We benefit from the study of math and science everyday in ways we can’t even imagine. It is worth our work, even at this level friends!

We have a normal Tuesday in front of us. Hot lunch is a Mexican dish by Pastor Leeds I believe. Choirs will be singing and practicing this afternoon and there will be many opportunities to study during our classes!

Continue to pray for Zeke Leeds. I know he is still on some medication that is keeping him from gaining strength. He is doing well but still has a long way to go until full healing is reached. Pray for those who are under burdens….many find themselves in this category.

Have a great Tuesday!
