Beef producers who currently direct market their beef or are considering doing so are invited to a workshop on August 20th in Green Lake County. This event is hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension, joined by the Wisconsin Beef Council, and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture. Topics of discussion for the workshop include: Easy to Use Marketing Tools, Licensing & Labeling Requirements, and Meating Consumer Expectations.

When: August 20, 6-8pm
Where: Green Lake County Government Center, 571 Co Rd A, Green Lake
Cost: Free of charge but registration is required and refreshments will be provided

The final session in Extension's SnapPlus Version 3 training series on August 18 focuses on grazing, specifically how to add and manage grazing schedules in the updated software. If you are, or work with farmers who graze livestock and need to reflect that accurately in their nutrient management plans, this is a useful session to attend.

Free, 11am–12:30pm, with one-on-one office hours.

Join us on August 6 at the Arlington Agriculture Research Station for No Till, No Spray, No Weeds & Experiences in Organic Field Day. This field day will feature field tours of no-till research trials, and updates on the state of herbicide resistance for the future w**d management. There will also be introductions to organic field crop production and certification including a farmer panel and an organic certification introduction.
