All students and staff will remain in place until the Tornado Warning for Fond du Lac County is lifted at 3:45 PM. Because staff are sheltering in the basement, no one will be available at the doors to release children to families until the warning ends. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we keep everyone safe.

A National Model for Academic Excellence 📈
The Fond du Lac School District is honored to be recognized by the national Education Scorecard as the "District on the Rise" in Wisconsin. This distinction, powered by researchers at Harvard and Stanford, highlights FDLSD as a leader in student growth and academic achievement.
Listen to Superintendent Steinbarth's interview with WPR on our results and transformation: https://www.wpr.org/shows/wisconsin-today-2/latest-school-test-results-effects-of-banning-cell-phones-in-schools-new-peter-ash-book
Our commitment to high-level teaching and a rigorous curriculum has positioned us as one of the top-performing districts for growth in the state. By consistently outpacing statewide averages, we are proving that our students can achieve at the highest levels.
FDLSD is currently ranked among the very top districts in Wisconsin for academic recovery and growth in Reading and Math. We are providing fantastic opportunities and teaching our students at a level that rivals the best in the state.
Now that federal relief funding has concluded, it is more important than ever for Wisconsin to prioritize school improvement dollars for middle and higher-poverty districts.
We are proud to serve as a model for what is possible. We remain dedicated to providing a world-class education that ensures every student in our community has a path to success.

First grade is for falling in love with reading! 📖✨
Our Fond du Lac School District first-grade students had an incredible day at Marian University for the "Read-4-Life" event, with Rotary Noon Fond du Lac.
The highlights were endless, but a few favorites included:
🎨 Creative literacy-themed crafts
🏈 An inspiring talk from former Green Bay Packer, George Koonce
📖 Hands-on activities designed to ignite a lifelong passion for books
We are beyond grateful for our amazing community partners. It truly takes a village, and ours is invested in our kids' bright futures!
