🌞 June is a month of celebration, recognition, and community as we honor Pride Month, National Immigrant Heritage Month, and other important observances. The Folsom Lake College Equity Center remains open Monday–Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with virtual services available on Fridays.
📅 Mark your calendars! On June 12, Folsom Lake College will host Future Falcon Day, an enrollment and open house event designed to help new and prospective students explore campus resources, connect with staff, and prepare for a successful start at FLC.
⚖️ The continues to offer free legal services through CHIRLA. Appointments are available for the next consultation date on June 24.
🏳️🌈 will be participating in Sacramento Pride on June 13–14! Sacramento Pride is one of the region’s largest celebrations of the LGBTQ+ community, bringing together thousands of attendees for a weekend of advocacy, visibility, and community. Stop by and say hello—we hope to see you there!

Mendocino College has reached a historic milestone with the launch of its first Native American language course, marking the first time in the college’s history that a Native language is being offered as a standalone, credit-bearing class.

It took more than 60 years for them to graduate.
It wasn’t because they were bad students.
In 1942, more than 450 Japanese American students were forced to leave the University of Washington after being sent to incarceration camps during World War II.
On May 18, 2008, the university finally awarded them honorary degrees.
Some returned in wheelchairs. Some returned with grandchildren. Some never lived long enough to see it happen.
