What's at the heart of our school? Our students and their BIG hearts! 💙💛 Two of our older students are hosting a donation drive benefitting the Sacramento SPCA. 🐾If you'd like to donate new or clean, gently used blankets/towels, Kong dog toys or pumpkin puree, you can drop off the items to the front office until August 28.

Their hearts are big and our hearts are even fuller seeing students showing compassion and kindness and taking initiative and action to help a cause they're passionate about! 🫶

This year marks our first 6th grade class in 7 years! 💙💛We are so thrilled to bring middle school back to Folsom Prep with Mrs. Murawski as our 6th grade teacher. Middle school is such a pivotal time in a child's life and their emotional and social development. We will (Folsom) PREP them for life, high school, even their first job. It's not just about academics. It's about preparing students to become their best selves and flourish.

P.S. If you haven't peeked into their classroom yet, be sure to! Our 6th graders have the coolest whiteboard desks! 🙂

STEAM it up! If you ask your child what their favorite class is, we have a sneaking suspicion they may say STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math). Led by our STEAM Dream Team, Mr. Smith and Ms. Riley, students take STEAM class weekly.

Hands-on, inquiry-based learning is at the heart of what we do at Folsom Prep, and our STEAM class is a great example of that. In STEAM, we encourage students to experiment, be creative, and think way outside the box. Why? Because when they do this, they build resilience. They're testing hypotheses, learning what works (and what doesn't), and working together. It's life-skills building as well as putting theory into practice. 🙌

DYK we've made some amazing upgrades to our school library? From even more book options to a whole new checkout system (hello, library cards 🪪!), come explore the library! Here at Folsom Prep, students visit the library each week, exploring magical worlds, discovering nonfiction, and growing a lifelong love of reading thanks to Ms. Ward. Who's ready to see how many books we can read this year? 📚
