Welcome to Barry Jamisons studio, Sutter Street Pastels. Sign up for classes in Pastel Painting either one-time or by the month. Two classes per week, morning or evenings Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Minimum age 16 years. Classes taught by Barry Jamison. Learn drawing and painting at the same time! View my original art for sale, talk to me about commissioning your own special treasure. One time class is $25. Two classes per week every week is $100 a month. Other special event classes periodically.

Finished this a couple of days ago. I normally do not post images of the works from this series I’ve been producing/growing/evolving with the last six years (in addition to my pastels). This is an oil, 18” x 36”.

A smaller original pastel done today. 8”x 8”. This was a small ravine that gave me access to a beach in Mendocino. I liked what the light & shadows were doing...

Ok, it may BE brain damage and potentially cutesy but I WAS thinking about the stress this ungodly heat is putting on trees plants and shrubs. Haha, consider this a "warm up"🙄

At Grace Patriot Winery on Carson Road ( Apple Hill area) exhibiting and visiting with folks here until 2 pm. Still time to come on up!!
This Sunday, July 30th I am exhibiting with some fellow artists at Grace Patriot Winery on Carson Road just outside of Placerville. The exhibit is from 11:00am to 2:00 pm. I'm bringing art supplies to work while there. Stop by, have a taste and a visit!
