Its space week here at Swift and Pre-K4 has been busy!
After learning that the Moon orbits Earth, we used our whole bodies to act it out. One person represented Earth while our “Moon” traveled around it in an orbit. We experimented with making larger and smaller pathways and practiced moving carefully around one another.
Whether it was visible or not, we remembered an important idea from Circle Time: the Moon doesn't disappear just because we can't see it.
We were even able to listen to our story read by a REAL LIFE astronaut from space!
