Winfield Firearms Training We teach private and reserved CCW and NRA Basic Pistol classes for individuals and small groups. I am available to teach classes 7 days per week.

We schedule classes based on what the customer wants. If you call and want to schedule a class, the class is yours and only yours! We will not add anyone to your class unless you have more people to add. This is YOUR class. Our classes are $100. The classes are held in my home at 1732 Hwy Y. The shooting portion is a private range at my home. I am certified, licensed, and insured.

I was talking to a friend this evening and she was asking me about the procedure for an expired CCW. I told her she has to start over completely, but, she depending on her daily life, she may not even need a permit anymore. She did not know Missouri had gone to permitless carry. She told me a couple other things concerning CCW that were no longer true since she originally took her class.

Folks, this can be a real problem. The laws change, and if you don’t keep up with them, you can find yourselves sideways of the law. I keep up with the law changes in Missouri. I try to keep up with any major CCW changes in any other state.

If it has been a while since you took your CCW class, you really owe it to yourself to make sure you are up to date on any changes in the laws. Don’t depend on your neighbors cousin’s father in law, who read an article in the newspaper, maybe. Get the correct info from a certified instructor.

I offer refresher classes to cover the legal portion of the CCW class. I can give this 3-4 hour class in one evening, or one morning or afternoon. The cost for this class is $50.

As we approach the year of 2024, let this year be the year you get the basic handgun training you need in order to safely carry a self defense firearm. Of course, just as important is the legal education you will receive. It is imperative you know what you can and cannot do. It can be the difference between prison or not.
The class is still a CCW class, but you do not “need” a CCW permit anymore. That doesn’t mean you may be better off with one. It depends entirely on your lifestyle.
What you DO need is the education. Do not depend on what you hear from friends. Get your education from a qualified instructor, whether that is me or another qualified instructor. You will be glad you did. It is a good investment. I’m getting several inquiries for next year. Get your date set now!

Here we are, coming up on another new year. Time for some of those resolutions. I have a good one for you. How many of you carry a handgun for self defense, but do not have a CCW? How many of you keep a gun in your vehicle? How many of you have a handgun or shotgun readily available in strategic places in your home? As far as the CCW, many of you do not need one, but you may actually be better off with one, because you may be inadvertently breaking laws without realizing it. Do you know the laws pertaining to “use of lethal force in self defense”? Do you know the laws pertaining to use of lethal force while in your car? Do you know the laws pertaining to car carry in Missouri, or other states? Do you know magazine limit laws? How about Castle Doctrine? How about Stand Your Ground? You need to know these laws. You need to understand these laws. This knowledge can keep you out of prison. Don’t be the person that heard about these laws from their cousins neighbor who had a friend that knew a policeman. Learn from a certified instructor where you can ask questions.
Winfield Fi****ms Training CCW classes cover all of the above, plus much more. Yes, I am an NRA certified instructor, with a lifetime of fi****ms experience. The cost is $100 for an eight hour class. That is a bargain for the knowledge you will receive. The vast majority of students are very surprised at what the laws actually are versus what they assumed the laws are. After the self defense shooting is NOT the time to learn what the laws are.

A reminder that the next Winfield Fi****ms Training Missouri CCW class is Saturday, July 8. At this point, there are 3 students signed up which leaves room for 3 more. I like keeping the classes small so I can teach on a more personal level.
Carrying a self defense firearm means you are also carrying a great responsibility. Don’t rely on television or the movies for your education. They don’t even TRY to get it right.
Can you use your firearm in another state? Can you defend a stranger if you happen upon a situation? Can you use lethal force to defend your property?
These, and other questions are discussed in class. Not knowing the answers can land you in jail.
