Yesterday, the sun rose on the seniors’ last first day of school! Senior Sunrise was a great way to start a year of memories 🌅

’Twas the night before school, and through every hall,
Not a locker was slammed, not a backpack did fall.
The classrooms sat quiet, each desk in its row,
While the halls of Snook Christian were prayed for, just so —

Every room blessed with hope, every corner with care,
For the students who’d fill them and the lessons laid there.
Each family who’d trusted their child to our care
Was lifted to our God who hears every prayer.

The teachers lay tossing, their minds racing fast,
Rehearsing Day One like it might be their last.
“Did I laminate that? Is my name tag on straight?
Do I have enough coffee to make it ’til eight?”

Name tags were labeled, room numbers were hung,
New crayons were counted (though some had been flung).
The front desk had her Band-Aids, the office its plan,
And a whiteboard that read “WE. ARE. READY!” in caps, if it can.

But down in the carline, oh, chaos would brew —
A line forming early, at 6:45, too!
Minivans creeping like a slow-moving parade,
One dad in his pajamas — hadn’t quite made the grade.

“Pull forward! Pull forward!” the walkie-talkies would blare,
While a first-grader wept for the parent still there.
A backpack got left, someone forgot their lunch,
And a car in the back honked with entirely too much punch!

Yet under the nerves, under the flurry and fret,
Was a joy that the summer could never quite get —
For excitement was buzzing in kids big and small,
New shoes squeaking loud down a freshly-waxed hall.

So here’s to the year that tomorrow will bring,
To the hugs, to the lessons, to whatever God brings.
May His hand rest on Snook, every teacher, each face,
And His peace fill the halls — and the carline, by grace!

We are SO thankful for the SCA Eagles Nest! Such a delicious lunch 💚💛💚

Today, Eagle’s Nest was honored to provide lunch for the amazing teachers and staff at Snook Christian Academy as they prepare for a new school year!

We hope everyone enjoyed their delicious meal from Mugshots Grill and Bar - Foley, AL. It was our pleasure to provide lunch as a small way of saying thank you for all you do for our students and school each day.

We appreciate each of you and are praying for a wonderful school year ahead! 💚🦅💛
