Florence B. Mathis Elementary School will open its doors in the Fall of 2020 debt-free.
The school will be 123,247 total square feet and is designed for 1,200 students. #baldwinproud
Mrs. Carpenter’s kindergarteners had a great first week of school! Students did a lot of projects with their names, were introduced to Kagan cooperative learning structures, and even practiced using scissors. They are looking forward to continued learning with their new class family.

After reading How Full Is Your Bucket?, Ms. Duncan’s class practiced the concept of “filling each other’s buckets” by identifying and demonstrating ways they can show kindness, encouragement, and respect toward one another. This activity helped students understand the importance of positive interactions and building a supportive classroom community.
