Little Learning Seeds Our goal is to bring the wonders of nature and play-based learning to as many children as possible.

🌟 Our Philosophy: 🌟

At Little Learning Seeds, we believe our students are like seeds, and we are the gardeners. It is our task as parents and teachers to provide the love, care, experiences, and environment that will allow our children to grow and flourish into adulthood. We believe in: Responsive, respectful, and understanding caregiving. Letting kids be kids, playing in the rain, making mud pies, and getting dirty. :-)

Child-led learning that follows students’ interests and the rhythms of the natural world. Learning through lots of hands-on play! :-)

🌟 Our Staff: 🌟

Our staff share a love of learning, play, and the outdoors. Krysta Dianne Denzer-Schneider:

(Lead Teacher)

Krysta is mom to Emma and wife to Dan, outdoor lover extraordinaire. She has a bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education from Montreat College in North Carolina, where she studied with a focus on preschool-age children and forest kindergartens. She has experience in various childcare settings with children ranging from age 3 months to 13 years, and has been a nanny for the last two years. She also started the free nature playgroup Sibley Street Playgroup in the fall of 2021. Krysta has always felt the outdoors was where she was meant to be. Quote: "I've always felt the most alive and free when I'm living life in the outdoors."

-----

Daniel Schneider:

(Co-Lead)

Daniel grew up outside Chicago, IL where he worked in addiction recovery. He then attended Montreat College where he studied Outdoor Education with his wife Krysta before moving to be near her family in Alabama. Daniel's kind spirit, patience, and dedication to helping others make him great with kids, and he has previous experience with both the elderly and as a nanny. Quote: "There is power in the magic of everyday teachable moments."

I’m excited to announce that I will be joining the Marietta Johnson School Of Organic Education in Fairhope as their early life (pre-k/kindergarten) teacher! I am excited to partner with other teachers and continue to bring hands on, nature and play based organic education to students in Baldwin County! The school is hosting a family art night and open house this Sunday, July 28 from 4 to 6 PM and is currently enrolling ages pre-K through eighth grade. If you’re in the area and interested, definitely check it out! We would love to have you and your children join us on the journey of organic education and add a few more kiddos to the class!

I am also interested in collaborating with anyone in the area who is also interested in bringing hands-on, nature and play based education to students and children—so if that sounds like you, please reach out!

Narrow and stiff shoes are terrible for feet, but especially for young, growing, developing ones. When footwear is needed, a thin, flexible sole and wide toe box are best and allow the foot to move more naturally. A “low drop” flat or mostly flat sole (as opposed to one with raised or high heels) is also preferred and avoids issues caused by walking in raised heels.
