WHAT THE ROLE IS
One day, you might help an infant settle into their routine. Another, you might pick up school-age children, help with homework, and turn an ordinary afternoon into a good one.
The Nanny Loft hires babysitters to care for children in the homes of families across the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. You’ll work with different families, learn what matters in each household, and become someone parents can count on. This is a part-time role. Hours may range from 3 to 35 per week, depending on available assignments and your availability.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Provide safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care for children of all ages, including infants.
Follow each family’s routines, including feeding, naps, playtime, and homework.
Engage children in age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor play, and educational games.
Safely transport children to school, activities, appointments, or playdates when requested by the family.
Assist with light household tasks and basic meal preparation as needed.
Administer medication with parental consent when required.
Maintain open, accurate communication with parents about daily activities, meals, and any incidents.
Adapt to varying schedules across multiple households, including evenings, weekends, and occasional overnights.
WHO YOU ARE
You’re warm with children, dependable with parents, and comfortable learning a new family’s way of doing things. You communicate clearly, stay organized when plans change, and take the responsibility of working in someone’s home seriously.
