Central's 5th & 6th graders kicked off their Million Word Challenge with a presentation and some time to read outside in the sunshine. This is a yearlong challenge offered to all 5th and 6th graders that involves tracking books they have read (or listened to!) and receiving prizes for hitting various benchmarks. We are excited to see who accepts the challenge and to hear about all the great books being read!

Central's 5th & 6th graders kicked off "Houses" with a sorting ceremony and game to earn house points! All students were sorted into 1 of 4 houses (red, green, purple, blue). It was a great opportunity to build new friendships, mingle across grade levels and classes, and promote a positive school culture. The kids will have opportunities all year to earn points and compete with their houses.
