From our classrooms to Columbia University. God is doing amazing things through our alumni!

We love keeping up with our graduates and seeing how they use their God-given talents out in the world. Yoojin Chang was our 2022 salutatorian, and she just graduated from Archbishop Molloy High School.

While in high school, Yoojin really lived out our mission of service. She spent her time volunteering at North Shore University Hospital and her local Korean community center. She also played first-chair flute in the concert band and jumped deep into science research.

This fall, she’s heading to Columbia University to major in Biomedical Engineering. She wants to study how technology and medicine can work together to help people. We are so proud of you, Yoojin! We are keeping you in our prayers as you start this next chapter.

Seeing our alumni out in the neighborhood making a real difference just warms our hearts. Sophia Freire graduated from St. Andrew Avellino in 2023, and she is already doing big things. She spent months working with Projekt NYC to create a personal finance program for middle school students, and they just wrapped up their workshop in Astoria. God calls us to use our blessings to lift others up, and Sophia is doing exactly that. Middle school parents, this is the kind of leadership and faith in action we love to see our graduates bring into the world. Way to go, Sophia.

We are excited to announce that our 1st graders became published authors just before school ended! Thanks to , they spent weeks writing, illustrating, and putting their faith and creativity onto paper. Seeing them hold a real book written by their class is pure joy. God gave them these amazing minds, and we are so blessed to watch them grow into eager readers and writers.

This is what Catholic school community is all about. Our 2026 graduates took some time after their own graduation to visit their kindergarten buddies for their step-up ceremony day. Seeing the oldest students cheer on the youngest is a reminder of how blessed we are here at St. Andrew's.

We’ve watched this graduating class grow in faith and wisdom since they were this small. Praying for both groups as they take their next big steps.
