Today, we’re highlighting our instructor Sudha from Kumon of Rolling Meadows! 💙
Sometimes, seeing what your child can accomplish inspires you to take a new path of your own.
For instructor Sudha, that meant going from Kumon parent to instructor after watching her daughter use her confidence in math to help other girls build theirs.
 
Today, she helps students learn from mistakes, work independently, and discover what they’re capable of—just as her daughter did.

After completing the Kumon Math Program at just 15 years old, Jesus went on to study Biotechnology Engineering at Tecnológico de Monterrey and co-found SEPOC, a startup dedicated to sustainable agricultural innovation.
From academic achievement to entrepreneurship, Jesus is using science and innovation to help solve real-world environmental and agricultural challenges. His story is a powerful reminder of what can happen when curiosity, perseverance, and purpose come together.

🚀  Meet Ana Joyce, one of our featured student speakers from Brazil!
At just 15 years old, Ana has already completed both the Kumon Reading and English Language programs and is currently studying Math at Level M. Through years of dedication and self-learning, she has developed the skills that helped her gain acceptance to more than 23 universities while still in her teens.
A talented musician who plays over 15 instruments and speaks English fluently, Ana dreams of becoming a doctor and Neuroscience researcher.

Meet Abdullah, one of our featured student speakers from Hong Kong!
Abdullah’s academic journey is a testament to persistence, excellence, and the power of setting ambitious goals. After completing Kumon’s Mathematics and English Programs, he achieved outstanding results on the 2025 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (DSE), earning 5* in four subjects and an impressive 5** in one subject.

Mastering multiplication tables can be fun! ✨ Try these activities with your child:

1.) Flash Cards: Make a set of flashcards with the equation on the front and the answer on the back. See how many they get correct in one minute.
2.) Playing Cards: Draw two cards and let your child guess the answer when they multiply both cards together. Remember, the ace can be interpreted as 1, the jack as 11, the queen as 12, and the king as 13.
