Friday is Jacoby’s 10th birthday, and normally I would be organizing a party of epic proportions. However, Jacoby’s blood count and severely immunocompromised status require that we celebrate creatively this year.
We will be having a SURPRISE drive-by birthday parade for Jacoby in the Floyds K***s Elementary School parking lot on Friday 09.29.23 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. FKE is located at 4484 Scottsville Road, Floyds K***s, IN 47119. I have attached a map of the “parade route” in order to avoid parking lot pile-ups. 😂 Please take pictures of your vehicle / passengers and tag so we can create a memory book for him.
Jacoby LOVES music, and he especially adores John Williams and the Piano Guys. He would be thrilled if cars in the parade were playing some of his favorite songs when they drove slowly by to greet him. If you are creatively inclined, you could even come dressed as some characters from his favorite books/movies, or have an encouraging sign to hang out the window. If you are a violinist or other musician and could play part of a song for him on your instrument, that would REALLY make his day. However, even if you just swing by and smile, wave, and wish him well without any of the theatrics, it would be greatly appreciated.
This will be a great way for Jacoby to feel the support and love of his community before he begins an intense new phase of treatment Monday, when we will be headed to Cincinnati for six weeks of Proton Radiation. Please join us in celebrating and encouraging our fierce Warrior as he marks his first decade and fights for the next. 🩵
