Changes to Medicaid can be confusing, and there’s a lot of misinformation circulating. People with disabilities are generally expected to qualify for exemptions from work requirements, but advocates are watching closely because paperwork and eligibility reviews can still create barriers. Staying informed matters.

Not every headline tells the whole story. The concern isn’t simply who qualifies—it’s whether eligible people can successfully navigate the process and keep the coverage they depend on. I’ll continue breaking down these policy changes as they happen.

Can Nicholas name that team? He loves the soccer and has really been following the FIFA World Cup.

Food safety doesn’t have to be complicated. The biggest takeaway? Plain running water, clean hands, and clean kitchen surfaces go a long way. And remember—even if you do everything right, some outbreaks happen because contamination occurs before the food ever reaches your kitchen.

saltwaterstoriesco Not every great surprise has to be expensive. 🩵 I stumbled across this adorable “Blind Date with a Book” package from Saltwater Stories, and it honestly made opening a book feel magical again. From the thoughtful wrapping to all the little extras, it’s one of those gifts that feels personal before you even turn the first page. If you’re shopping for a reader (or you’re the reader 😉), this is such a fun idea—and I always love supporting small businesses when I can. Have you ever done a blind date with a book? Tell me the best book you’ve read this year! 📚✨

This isn’t about whether someone is allowed to have an opinion. They are. It’s about what happens when that opinion is broadcast to hundreds of thousands or millions of people. Whether it’s a small-town business or an entire community of people, words have consequences. Influence is powerful—and with that power comes responsibility. That’s why both situations bothered me. Not because criticism isn’t allowed, but because the ripple effects of a large platform are real. What do you think? Does having a large audience change the responsibility that comes with what you say?

Can we “boost” autophagy in Down syndrome? 🧬♻️ Maybe someday—but we need to separate fascinating laboratory research from treatments that are actually proven in people. Researchers are studying mTOR, mitophagy, mitochondrial health and several potential autophagy-modulating compounds. But right now, there is no established autophagy supplement or protocol for Down syndrome. The science is exciting. The evidence still matters.

This isn’t about a grocery store. It’s about what we choose to celebrate. A platform with millions of followers comes with influence. I think there’s a difference between sharing your experience and publicly mocking the businesses and communities that support everyday people. I’d rather follow creators who stay grounded, remember where they came from, and make people feel seen instead of looked down on. Maybe it’s time we rethink who we’re rewarding with our attention. What do you think?
