Hear ye, hear ye! There will be a Renaissance Festival at the New River Valley Montessori School in Floyd on June 8th from 1-4 pm. Admission to the event is free and all ages are welcome to enjoy the merriment and educational fun. Donā€™t miss the Joust and Royal Court performed by students from the school. Juggling Geoff will delight audiences with his unique circus stunts, magic tricks and puppet show. Food, ribbon wands, flower crowns and a potion-making craft will be for sale. Costumes are encouraged!

The school is located at 203 W. Main St. in Floyd. The classrooms will also be open for tours and demonstrations of Montessori learning materials and lessons. All community members and interested families are invited to join in the fun and get to know more about the schoolā€™s programs.

The New River Valley Montessori School currently serves children ages 6-12 in a mixed-age classroom with teachers who are dedicated to a child-centered explorative and nurturing educational setting. The Montessori method allows children to experience their own path of academic achievement through a curriculum that fosters independence, individualized learning, and emotional intelligence.
