Ron Campbell Art

Ron Campbell Art There are scenes worthy of canvas at every turn in the road in this area of Southwest Virginia and I am doing my best to capture all of them with pen and ink.

Just wanted to thank all of my framing customers for your past and future business . When you call for framing appointments you may have to go through the AI call screener, a feature provided by the Google pixel. I had to do this because I average 35 spam/scam calls from somewhere offshore every day and this is the only way I found to eliminate this nucence. So be patient with the AI Guy, he seems very professional.

Yesterday we blew snow, today I plowed the drive so that it would melt quicker....I should be able to take appointments in a day or so.

Thanks Ron.

Almost finished this one-of-a-kind 35 block puzzle.....two 10 1/2 by 7 1/2 wood burned images of scenes around Floyd in its own box with a wood burned image on the front. You may see this in one of the local shops downtown shortly....

I was challenged by one of my customers to consider repairing an important lamp. It was a learning experience to take this on but I think we got it together. By using a modified version of a Japanese process called kentsugi, I got it together. Here are some before and after photos.

I had the privilege of drawing this Abingdon cabin, built in 1922. The commission request came from a gentleman in Winston Salem. I hope to deliver it to the new owner soon. Here are some pictures from beginning to finish. We also added snow and a wreath to create Christmas cards.

I have finished my latest custom swing. The seat and back are made from Sapele, a wood imported from Africa. An extremely dense wood with a tight grain, I'm told it holds up well in weather conditions. I finished it with Australian Timber Oil. The center oval is also Sapele with a wood burned art piece burned into it. Here are a few pictures taken during the build.
