Learning the scientific method is a little sweeter with gummy bears!

Mrs. Wesson’s students put their observation and critical-thinking skills to work in the Gummy Bear Scientific Method Lab, measuring gummy bears after they spent the night in different solutions. Students calculated changes in mass and volume, created bar graphs to represent their results, and recorded their observations.

Hands-on labs like this bring science to life while helping students grow in academic preparation, critical thinking, and their understanding of God’s created world! What a fun Tuesday!!

Welcome to Hartfield!

This morning our counselors invited new students to breakfast. This tradition started as a way for new students to get to know their counselors and each other! We hope Hartfield feels like home from the very start!

Thank you Mrs. Thornton, Mrs. Canterbury and Mrs. Moore for a great morning together!

Senior Retreat is always a special Hartfield tradition, but there’s something special about gathering together at the start of your final year!!

Our seniors spent time in worship, opened God’s Word together, and had plenty of fun. But the best thing that came out of this weekend was the life change in our group of seniors. The Lord was clearly at work, stirring in their hearts and drawing them closer to Him.

As they step into a year full of “lasts,” our prayer is that what began this weekend would continue throughout their senior year and beyond. We know it was the best start to senior year!

This year, Hartfield is celebrating 15 years! ❤️ To celebrate, we’ll be looking back on the 15th of each month at the special moments that have shaped Hartfield over the years.

We’re starting where it all began! The first day of school! Hartfield welcomed students for its very first first day on August 10, 2012.

Today, we’re looking back at first-day-of-school memories through the years. So much has changed, but we’re thankful for God’s faithfulness through every year of Hartfield!

This summer, three Hartfield students were selected to participate in the Lott Leadership Institute at the University of Mississippi!

Ady Beth Hammon, Colin Clark, and Hannah Morton spent time learning alongside other student leaders, gaining real-world experience in leadership, government, law, and civic engagement.

We’re proud of the way they represented Hartfield and took advantage of this opportunity to learn and lead well. Read more about their Lott Leadership experience here: https://www.hartfield.org/news-detail?pk=1631228&fromId=252478

Today, our seniors had the privilege of placing a Passport to Purpose Bible into the hands of each of our 7th graders! This moment marked the beginning of a journey we pray will shape them for years to come.

These pages will be filled with prayers, spiritual milestones, questions, growth, and reminders of God’s faithfulness throughout their time at Hartfield.

After passing out the Bibles, our seniors spent time praying over the 7th graders and encouraging them as they begin this journey. It was a beautiful picture of intentional discipleship and the way God is at work in the lives of our students.

Our prayer is that years from now, these students will look back through these pages and clearly see God’s faithfulness every step of the way. And one day, they’ll be the seniors placing a Bible into the hands of the next generation.
